How it works

How to give from your DAF

Recommending a grant from your Donor Advised Fund is straightforward. Specific steps may vary slightly depending on your DAF provider, but the general procedure is as follows:

Log in to your DAF account

Access your fund through your sponsoring organization's online portal or by contacting your advisor. We accept grants from CNCF, GiveWise, CanadaHelps, Charitable Impact (CHIMP), Abundance Canada, Wellfunded, and other public and community foundations.

Search for our charity

Legal name: FH Canada. CRA Registration Number: 132152893RR0001.

Enter your gift details

Enter the amount you wish to grant — your gift will support the area of greatest need — plus your name and contact information so we can thank you.

Submit your recommendation

Once approved by your DAF sponsor, the funds will be sent directly to FH Canada.

After your gift is received

We will acknowledge your generosity with a thank-you letter or donation confirmation, and you'll be kept informed about the impact of your support and the work your gift makes possible. If you wish, an FH team member can reach out to learn how you prefer to stay updated on the work you support.
